Cookie Policy

Effective date: 31 July 2026 · Last updated: 31 July 2026

This policy explains what cookies are used on https://thinkpodstudios.co.uk and why. The short version: this site sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store, which are sent back on later requests. They can be essential (making a security check work), or non-essential (analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking).

2. Our approach: no tracking

This website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies of any kind. We do not measure you individually, profile you, or share browsing data with advertisers. The site is plain, static pages.

3. Strictly-necessary cookies that may appear

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, whose security layer may set short-lived, strictly-necessary cookies to distinguish humans from malicious automated traffic. These are the only cookies you may see:

NameProviderPurposeDuration
__cf_bmCloudflareBot management — distinguishes legitimate visitors from automated attack trafficUp to 30 minutes
cf_clearanceCloudflareRecords that you passed a Cloudflare security challenge, so you are not challenged repeatedly (only set if a challenge is shown)Up to 1 year, typically much shorter per site settings

These are classed as strictly necessary: they exist solely to deliver the site securely, at your request, and are exempt from the consent requirement under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

4. Why there is no consent banner

UK law requires consent for non-essential cookies. Because this site sets none, there is nothing to consent to — so we do not show a cookie banner. We think that is a better experience than a banner asking permission for cookies that do not exist.

5. If this ever changes

We commit that before any non-essential cookie (for example analytics) is ever introduced on this site, we will add a proper consent mechanism that is off by default, update this policy, and change the "last updated" date above. No non-essential cookie will be set without your prior consent.

6. Controlling cookies in your browser

All major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies — look in your browser's settings under "Privacy" (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies; Safari: Settings → Privacy; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security; Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions). Blocking the strictly-necessary cookies above may cause Cloudflare's security checks to repeat, but the site will still work.
